ACVPM Continuing Education "Q-fever: Are your clients at risk?"
Wednesday, December 11, 2024 (6:00 PM - 7:00 PM) (EST)
Description
The ACVPM Continuing Education Committee is pleased to invite ACVPM diplomates, ACVPM exam candidates, and active members of our partner organizations, the National Association of Federal Veterinarians, the American Association of Food Safety and Public Health Veterinarians, the National Association of State Public Health Veterinarians, and the US Animal Health Association, to an upcoming continuing education webinar.
Dr. Stephanie Ringler will present "Q-fever: Are your clients at risk?". This program will provide participants with an opportunity to hear testimony from a local dairy farmer on how Q-fever has affected his health and how he is raising awareness about the disease. This will tie together with discussions from USDA Veterinary Services (VS) staff members on how Q-fever is spread on the farm, who is at risk, how to detect it in animals and humans, and what procedures to provide to a client who has a recently diagnosed animal. Lastly, the program will provide resources and information on upcoming projects within USDA VS regarding the disease.
Participants must attend at least 50 minutes of the webinar to receive a one-hour CE certificate.
