The ACVPM Continuing Education Committee is pleased to invite ACVPM diplomates, ACVPM exam candidates, and active members of our partner organizations, the National Association of Federal Veterinarians, the American Association of Food Safety and Public Health Veterinarians, the National Association of State Public Health Veterinarians, and the US Animal Health Association, to an upcoming continuing education webinar.
Dr. Christopher Lee will present "Leptospirosis: Prevalence, Updates, Cases. From the Ivory Tower to the Urine-Stained Trenches of the Hospital". This presentation will review the updated information on the prevalence and incidence of leptospirosis in the US; provide an update on the September 2023 ACVIM consensus statement on leptospirosis in dogs; and walk the audience through the ACVIM-defined case definitions. The presenter will discuss real cases that focus on the potential conundrum of possible leptospirosis cases and realistic clinical approaches. See how one hospital has seen a tenfold increase its positive leptospirosis cases and how it approaches these patients.
