USDA Announces Webinars for NADPRP & NAHLN 2019 Funding

On Monday August 26th, USDA's Animal Plant & Health Inspection Service (APHIS) announced the open period to apply for funding through the National Animal Disease Preparedness & Response Program (NADPRP) and the National Animal Health Laboratory Network (NAHLN)



APHIS has made $10M in funding to be divided between the two programs, which are aimed at training and preparing agriculture sector employees to serve as animal health emergency responders. The deadline to apply for funding is October 25, 2019. 



Funding for this effort was made available through the 2018 Farm Bill, and the activities that will qualify for such are to be centered around increasing the capabilities, capacity, and readiness of the US Agriculture sector to "quickly and effectively" respond to animal pests and disease outbreaks. 



APHIS will be hosting two webinars to assist potential collaborators with the application process for the program:



1) NADPRP 2019 Funding Opportunity – Information for Applicants

2) NADPRP 2019 Funding Opportunity – Q&A Session
